420/Rich Hall Regatta and Laser Regatta
Over the next two weekends, the EYC will be hosting the 420/Rich Hall Jr Regatta on Saturday, July 15th and Sunday, July 16th. The Laser Regatta will be held on Saturday, July 22nd and Sunday, July 23rd. Both of these regattas are open to all and competitors do not have to be EYC members. EYC members are eligible to use club boats and will be entered into the boat draw upon registration. The 420 Regatta will have two divisions under 18 (Rich Hall) and 18 over. For the Rich Hall Regatta, skippers must be at least 12 years old.
Registration is available online at this link EYC Racing and also on race day at the clubhouse. Please check the NOR for the schedules of the races.
Parents racing is a great way for sailors to use and improve their sailing, develop leadership skills and have a lot of fun. We hope you encourage and support your young sailors to participate.
Fridays at the EYC
It’s always a FriYAY at the EYC! Friday mornings the pop-up shop is open from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. come on down and get your EYC gear including t-shirts, hoodies, hats and totes. We are expecting the 2023 Regatta shirts for next week’s pop-up on 7/21.
On Friday night, come on down to the dock for the 420 and Laser races. If you are not racing the dock is a perfect place to gather on a Friday night to mingle with other members, support the races and then enjoy a wonderful meal after the races. If you plan on joining the potluck please bring your own main dish and a side dish/dessert to share.
Men’s Night
This Friday, July 14th, we will also be having a special gather at the clubhouse starting at 7:00 p.m. Please BYOB and bring an appetizer/snack to share.
Commodore’s Cocktail
We never want summer to end, however it is time to start thinking about the end of season social. Commodore’s Cocktail will be held at Hidden Acres Farm on Saturday, August 12th. This end of season social is also an awards event for the EYC racing series. We are still in need of a few extra hands. Please use this link to volunteer Commodore’s Cocktail
