It’s the top of the summer at EYC: Stay Focused!

Ephraim Regatta deadlines are real, and they are approaching

The early bird registration ends TODAY, July 26 at 5:00 p.m. and registration closes Thurs. Aug 2. Still hope to use an EYC boat for this regatta? You must let Matt know by 8 am Monday morning at [email protected] After that, EYC boats will be removed from the pier to make room for the Regatta.

Annual Fleet 44 Meeting Sat. July 28th 8:45 am.

Come join us for our annual Fleet Meeting.  After the meeting, feel free to grab a crew and join in the Saturday morning Flying Scot races.

There are no bad ideas (on the EYC survey, that is).

Think EYC should offer windsurfing?  Or invest in a cotton candy machine? The survey is your chance to speak your mind. Click here, and login (common usernames are first initial and last name) and hit “survey”.

Wednesday’s Junior Activity: Epic Capture the Flag!

A favorite for juniors aged 8-18 (younger can come if with an adult). This one at the Pyle’s house from 6-8 (see directory for address).  Sign up in clubhouse. Volunteers sign up here.

The EYC is very needy. Here’s a list:

Bailers: bring empty laundry detergent bottles to club.  In a time-honored tradition, we will cut the top off and attach a string and tie it to a boat for use in removing water.

Bratfest yard setup, Friday Aug 3rd 10-noon, sign up here.

The Commodore’s party on Aug 11 still has spots that need filling

A belated thank you to Fyr Bal Pancakers …

At the rainy Fyr Bal Pancake Breakfast on June 16th, over 150 plates of pancakes, fresh strawberries & Marchant’s sausages were served and over $1100 was raised for the EYC.  Many thanks to our volunteers Asta Zukauskaite, Mary Ann McKoane, Bob Richter, Chuck & Lana Tencate, Kathi Whiteside, Kim & Jenny Miller, Jim Nelson, Susie Gebhardt, Dick & Claire Bierman, Rob & Sherry Moore, Sibylle Tasker, Deanna Peterson, Dennis Miller, Marsella Fults, Sydney Richter, Jay Lott, and Sally Schoendorf who shared their expertise in set-up, flipping pancakes, grilling sausages in a downpour, greeting patrons in the rain, and much more.  Thanks to Matt Andersen for bringing the grill.  And a very special thanks to Jane Reyerson Ford, for chairing the event.
