Optimist Regatta results

Congrats to all the juniors who competed in the EYC’s Optimist regatta on July 20-21.  We had good light to medium winds and we were able to complete eight races over two days.  We were fortunate that we had some visiting sailors from the Pine Lake Yacht Club to bring to total number of racers to sixteen!

The top five finishers were:

1st  Hansen Zaiser – Pine Lake Yacht Club – 9 pts

2nd  Eric Hoyerman – Ephraim Yacht Club – 14 pts

3rd Derek Waleffe – Ephraim Yacht Club – 27 pts

4th Jacob Zaiser – Pine Lake Yacht Club – 30 pts

5th Sophie Tasker – Ephraim Yacht Club – 35 pts

Sophie Tasker also took home the award for top girl skipper.
