First Mates’ Potluck Location Change / 100-Miler
The location of tonight’s First Mates’ Potluck dinner has been changed to the (air-conditioned!) Old Ephraim Village Hall. All other details remain the same. The event begins at 6:00 PM.
EYC members and staff will compete in the Hundred-Miler race this Saturday, July 23 on the Peterson’s Beneteau First 38 “Charette”. The fleet is expected to round Horseshoe Island sometime between 11:oo AM and 4:00 PM, depending on the wind. Follow the EYC on Twitter for a Saturday tweet giving the time the fleet is expected to round Horseshoe. To receive the EYC’s tweets on your mobile phone, text “Follow EphraimYC” to 40404. Charette is expected to win its division, and perhaps overall, because it will be crewed by John and Deanna Peterson, professional sailor Peter Grimm, and EYC staffers Alex Zalar, Ben Schallip, Isak Peterson, Woody Heidler and Matt Smith.
Come on out and cheer on Team EYC in the Hundred-Miler! The best places to watch are from your boat, or from the tower at Peninsula State Park.
