Summer 2023 EYC Staff Opportunities

Speaking of summer, the Ephraim Yacht Club is accepting applications for the following positions for the 2023 summer season.  If interested, please send your resume, including sailing and powerboat experience, references, date of birth, current year in school, available dates for work, and contact information to Hugh Haggerty at [email protected].

SAILING INSTRUCTOR

Sailing Instructor duties include teaching sailing lessons, running races, mentoring dock assistants and students, and working dock. Other duties include general clubhouse duties, member assistance, and equipment care and maintenance.
Applicants should be experienced small boat sailors with a solid sailing resume, including instruction and racing. Instructors are required to have US Sailing Level I Instructor or higher, current CPR/First Aid AED, and SafeSport certificates prior to employment. Sailing Instructors should expect to work approximately 35 to 40 hours per week. Applicants must be have reached their 16th birthday by December 31st, 2023.
DOCK ASSISTANT
Dock Assistant duties include keeping the dock and clubhouse facilities clean and properly equipped, and assisting members. Applicant should be able to properly use equipment to assist in launching and storing boats and associated equipment. Qualified individuals may support running races. Dock assistants are required to have current CPR/First Aid and SafeSport certifications prior to employment.
Dock Assistants should expect to work approximately 25-35 hours per week. Applicants must be have reached their 15th birthday by December 31st, 2023. Applicants under the age of 16 are required to have a WI child labor form.
