Sailing Instructor duties include teaching sailing lessons, running races, working dock and mentoring of dock assistants and students. Other duties include general clubhouse maintenance/cleaning, member assistance, and equipment care and maintenance.Applicants should be small boat sailors with a solid sailing resume, instruction and racing experience favorable. Instructors are required to have US Sailing Level I Instructor certification or higher level US Sailing certification, current CPR/First Aid AED, and SafeSport certifications prior to employment. Sailing Instructors should expect to work approximately 35 to 40 hours per week. Applicants must be have reached their 16th birthday by December 31st, 2024.DOCK ASSISTANTDock Assistant primary duties include keeping EYC facilities clean/equipped, and assisting members. Dock assistants also assist in launching, docking, storing boats, and race management. Ability to sail effectively is preferred and will help future role progression. Dock Assistants are required to have currentCPR/First Aid and SafeSport certifications prior to employment.Dock Assistants should expect to work approximately 20-30 hours per week.
