Thank you to everyone who came out to Commodore’s Cocktail to celebrate a wonderful 2026 season at Hidden Acres Farm.  We are grateful to the EYC Board and the volunteers who serve on all of our committees. Without them, much of our work could not be done.

This summer, our lesson sailing program continued to create happy, skilled sailors. Thank you to our amazing staff this summer, led by our Director, Penelope Whiteside, along with our Asst. Directors Will Knight, Max Mielke, and Charlie Sauter.  Our instructors: Calvin Hoag, Spencer Kircher, George Kircher, Josie McCabe, Rose Mortara, Liam O’Rear, Ellie Ottem, Peytron Reynolds, and Walter VanMiller. Our Dock Assistants: Gus Braun, Mckinley Butler, Merryn Butler, Ellis Eichenseer, Henry Knight, Julia McCabe, Killian O’Rear, and Ben Young. This crew oversaw or implemented the lesson program, kept our fleet in great shape, and ensured our racing program filled Eagle Harbor with sails all summer long. 

We celebrated our award winners, Laura O’Rourke, Volunteer of the Year, and Penelope Hoag, Sportsman of the Year.  We also recognized the season’s top three places in our Weekly Race Series.  LINK TO SEASON WINNERS

Thank you to Kristy Hoag, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes all summer as the Social chair.
