Races and socials and lessons, oh my!!

Opening Social, Saturday, June 11 at 5:30pm.

Are You In? Blessing of the fleet ceremony at 5:30 p.m. followed by a remembrance of members at who have passed at 5:45 p.m. The social begins at 6:00 p.m.  All adult EYC members are welcome.
Meet EYC staff, reunite with summer friends and introduce yourself to new members.  Where?  Where it always is…at the EYC dock!  Beer, wine, Champagne and music provided.  Please bring an appetizer to share.  Sorry pet lovers, no four-legged-fur-friends allowed.  Greeters, Bar Service and clean-up help needed. Flying Scot Fleet #44 Racing starts June 11th

Regular fleet racing at EYC begins this Saturday, June 11 with first start at 10:00 am.  Special one-day regattas are scheduled for June 18th (Fyr Bal), July 2 (Geezer-Gatta), and July 30th (Family).

Thursday night racing at EYC begins June 16 with a 6:00 pm start.  See the notice of Race at eyc.org/racing for details.  Join us at the Fleet meeting, Saturday June 18, 8:45 am and share your ideas.  If you have been certified to sail an EYC Flying Scot or own your own Scot and are interested in improving your race skills, please reach out to Fleet Captain, Michael Faugust [email protected]

First Mates Wine and Sign followed by Bunco Monday, June 13th

Let’s come together to put the wind in EYC’s sails. Come to the clubhouse at 5:30 p.m. enjoy a glass of wine, learn about all our events (regattas, socials, activities) and sign-up yourself, spouse or kiddos for the many volunteer opportunities.  We are looking for someone to lead First Mates.  The EYC First Mate overseas the clubs social calendar, hosts our First Mate meetings and coordinates the chairs of our events. Please contact Laura O’Rourke if you are interested.

At 7 pm, the dice will come out and we’ll have our first bunco evening of the summer. Don’t know what bunco is? It’s a social game that involves absolutely no strategy, a bit  of luck and an opportunity to meet up with friends old and new.  It’s a great way to kick-off the week! Bunco meets weekly on Mondays throughout the summer season.

Session A begins June 13th

Our EYC summer lessons schedule begins next week. If you/your child is registered for next week’s lesson please look for an email from [email protected] for all the necessary information.

Junior Activities begin June 15th

Each Wednesday night during the summer, the EYC hosts a junior activities for students or family of members. The Sign-up is in the clubhouse. kids aged 8-18 years are welcome.  Younger children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Activities are led by our EYC staff.

The first Junior Activity will be held at the Red Putter Next Wednesday, June 15 6:00 p.m. -7:30 p.m.

EYC Merchandise Sales

The EYC pop-up shop will be open on Fridays from 9:00 am. – 1:00 p.m. starting next Friday, June 17th.  Come on down and get your EYC gear.  New designs for  2022 and f un new colors for the UV shirt!  We are looking for Sales volunteers sing-up HERE
