Upcoming Flying Scot Regattas

Two well-know Flying Scot regattas will take place in September in Illinois.

The Glow-in-the-Dark Regatta will be hosted by the Clinton Lake Sailing Association September 24-26.  Clinton Lake is in central Illinois, near Champaign.  This is a casual and fun regatta.  Sailors can camp at the CLSA grounds, and the Friday night welcome-potluck-cookout party is a feast not to be missed!  EYC sailors who compete in this regatta should have lots of fun.  For more information, the Notice of Race, and a registration form see http://www.clsasailing.org/node/887

The annual Whale of a Sail Regatta, which includes Flying Scots, will be hosted by the Carlyle Sailing Association September 17-19.  The CSA is located approximately 1 hour’s drive east of St. Louis.  For more information, the Notice of Race, and registration form see http://www.csa-sailing.org/Welcome_to_CSA_files/Whale%20of%20a%20Sail%20NOR.pdf.  Like the Glow, the Whale is a fun regatta and inexpensive to attend because camping is available at an adjacent state park.
