This Week at EYC: Sailing, Family Fun & Summer Traditions

Before we look ahead, congratulations to all of the sailors who are competing in this weekend’s ILCA District 20 Championships! Thank you to our racers, race committee, volunteers, coaches, and families for making it such a fantastic weekend at EYC. We hope everyone had a great time on and off the water.

Session D2 of Sailing Lessons 

The air quality forecast for Ephraim this week looks good, that is, below 151 on the Air Quality Index (AQI). This means that classes for this coming week are on! If the AQI score returns to a hazardous level, we will be compelled once again to cancel lessons for the sake of the health of our students and staff. Please check your email for announcements. 

Family Fiesta & Talent Show – July 22

Join us for one of our favorite family evenings of the summer!

Family Fiesta has been rescheduled to Wednesday, July 22, immediately following Junior Activities, which begins at 6:00! Join us from 7:00–9:00 p.m. on the dock for a fun evening featuring Sergio’s Taco Truck, family games, and a chance to gather together after the Talent Show.

 

Joani Lewis Social Sail – July 23 

Have you ever wanted to try sailing but weren’t sure where to start? The Joani Lewis Social Sail from 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. is designed especially for adults who are new to sailing or have little sailing experience. Participants will join experienced sailors for a relaxed one-hour sail on the bay—a wonderful opportunity to experience the joy of sailing in a fun, friendly, and welcoming environment.

Afterward, everyone is invited back to shore to enjoy wine, cheese, and Door County cherry pie while getting to know fellow members and sharing stories from the water.

Opti Regatta – July 25–26

Our Opti sailors will take over the waterfront next weekend for one of the highlights of the junior racing season! We look forward to welcoming young sailors from around the region for a weekend of exciting racing, sportsmanship, and fun on the water.

Looking Ahead: 121st Ephraim Regatta & reBRATta Fest

One of EYC’s signature weekends is almost here! Registration is open for the 121st Ephraim Regatta, Aug. 1 – 2! 

This year features the introduction of the ReBRATta Fest on Saturday, August 1, 6:00 p.m. hosted by the Pyles and Pearsons. All EYC members and their guests are welcome, $20 age 12 and over, $10 age 6 – 11. Wristbands for entry, as well as regatta shirts may be purchased in advance at our merchandise table: Fridays (starting July 24th) from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Below are the links to purchase tickets for ReBRATta Fest!
