Goodbye Winter Witch, Hello Summer!

Pancake Breakfast

Thank you to Jane Reyerson and Lisa Forsman for all their efforts to create a delicious morning of pancakes, sausages and strawberries!  To note~ one guest said, their favorite Fyr Ball activities are the Pancake breakfast and the pet parade! That’s a 26+ star Zagat endorsement.  It would not be as special without all the elbow grease of the tireless kitchen sous chefs, grill masters, pancake flippers, servers and hostess/money gals! Thank you all for volunteering and making this a great morning! The money raised supports the Aaron R Moore scholarship fund which provides scholarships for sailing education for local children.

Thank you to Geoff and Claudia Werner and Marta Fonseca for working diligently to have merch available for purchase at the Pancake fundraiser! More merch to come starting this Friday June, 21st on the dock from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

On the Water/Dock

The Fyr Ball regatta was won by Michael Faugust and Jennifer Ikenda, Second place went to  Charlie Dischner and Kate Dischner, Third place was held by Nancy Claypool and Ann O’Brien.

EYC Fyr Ball Family cookout was a blast!  Thank you to Calista Troupe and Andrew Reynolds! They stepped up and were the amazing volunteers who grilled over 100 brats and 100 burgers/cheeseburgers. Hats off to the chefs not only for dinner, but for the Fyr on the dock! You had to be there!  Thank you also to the EYC staff and to volunteers Jack O’Rourke, Laura O’Rourke, Fran Morof, Marta Fonseca, Myra DeLong, Steve Sauter, Suzanne Lisle, and Jennifer Ikeda for picking up the sheets so to speak for various aspects of this event so we all could enjoy. And to those who carried a box or broke down a table before the drizzle, thanks!

See You on the Dock!!
