Your EYC Directory was mailed to your winter address in May. It was mailed by bulk mail, so snail mail is especially apropos in this case. If snail mail is too slow and you would like an EYC Directory, there is a limited number of EYC Directories available at the Clubhouse for $10. Please see Spencer Olson to purchase one.  Enjoy your EYC summer! The dock is waiting for you!

ARM Gala Wrap-up

Jay Gatsby’s yellow Rolls-Royce was last seen heading south toward the bright lights of Milwaukee and Chicago late Saturday night.  A couple of flappers were patiently sitting in the back of a barrel back Chris-Craft launch awaiting the skipper who went to fetch a bottle of champagne for the return trip.  And so the party at Anahuac closed as the lights in the house dimmed and the stars rose in the sky.

A very big thank you to all our EYC family of friends who attended, donated and helped in our 9th annual ARM-EYC Sailing Scholarship Fundraiser.  Special thanks our host, Rob Cowles, who graciously shared beautiful Anahuac with us for the perfect venue.  Thanks to the EYC staff who professionally valeted cars and sold raffle tickets.  The evening was great fun and the spectacular venue truly transported us to a golden time gone by.  Surrounded by friends who generously participated in the raffle and auction, it looks like another successful year that will allow us to send more kids to sea.

Our heartfelt thanks! The Moore Family

Joani Lewis Celebration Invitation

Pancake Breakfast Wrap-up

Many thanks to the volunteers who made the 2022 Fyr Bal Pancake Breakfast a success!  We served over 240 people and raised nearly $1,300 for the EYC scholarship fund.  Susie Gebhardt, Mardi Glenn and Steve & Joan Anderson greeted eaters at the door.  Fabian Waleffe & Bob Richter grilled 50 lbs of sausage links.  The Dibble team (Kevin, Bennett & Packard), Matt Goode and Dan Mielke flipped pancakes until we ran out of batter!  Karen Bierman, Julie Watkins, Hal & Tammy Whitacre, Deanna Peterson, Jennifer Peterson & kids, Heather Mandel, Lisa Forsman, Tim Aik, and LaDona & Jim Rowings helped keep things running smoothly in the kitchen & at the tables.  And when we ran out of strawberries & chocolate chips, Andrea Goode made a dash to the Pig for more!  Kudos everyone!!

See You on the Dock!
