Summer season winding down- club boat use, VOY and Sportmanship awards

EYC Member Use of Club boats

As the season winds down, we do still have a few boats on the dock and available for member use. We have one Flying Scot, White Whale, and a few 420’s. If you are interested in use please contact Joanie Lewis at (920)854-4656 to schedule a time slot.
These boats will be available through Labor Day. White Whale is also for sale.  If  you are interested in purchasing her, please contact Hugh Haggerty, our Equipment committee chairperson.

2020 VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARD- FRED LEWIS

Fred served two terms on the EYC Board. Additionally, Fred served as Clubhouse Chairperson taking over the reigns from Rich Bierman, which were big shoes to fill. Fred stepped right up to the plate as a very hands on skilled worker. I truly think he knows more about how this club runs than anyone. Even though Fred has been off the board for a year, you would never know it, he continues to help out in the off season getting mail, teaching the new Clubhouse and Dock Chair people, working on the EYH Committee and always lending a helping hand. In fact, Fred and Sue had to move to Florida for the winters just to catch up on some rest and relaxation away from EYC, but then came ZOOM!

Fred, a huge THANK YOU for all that you do and hopefully we will continue to see you on the EYC dock for many years to come.

SPORTSMANSHIP OF THE YEAR AWARD

This year the Ephraim Yacht Club Sportsmanship of the Year Award goes to Ben Taylor! Ben was always helpful on the dock, making sure everything was put away properly. He came to lessons each day with a great attitude and was always eager to learn. Ben set a good example for everyone on the dock. Congratulations Ben!
