To-Do List for Summer; Step 1: Help Open EYC on Saturday!

We’ve conveniently organized your to-do list for you:

#1: Help open the EYC this Sat. morning 9AM sharp!  BBQ following at noon.

There’s lots to do, and everyone can help.  And besides, it’s gonna hit 71 degrees this Saturday!  Come one, come all.  We will put your unique and special talents to work to help open our club for the season.  You’ll get to see everyone and enjoy a free brat, dog, and chips at noon.  Crack open the sunscreen and please come.  We need you.

#2:  Pancake Breakfast June 15th — sign up to help.

Add the event to your calendar for Sat. June 15th and click here to sign up to volunteer for a shift. We especially need volunteers for the early shift so if you’re an early riser, this slot is for you!  There are jobs for pancake flippers, sausage grillers, strawberry slicers, and for those who can’t be trusted with food, we’ll use you as a money handler. Last year the EYC netted $900 amidst stunning downpours.  Let’s see if we can beat that this year!

#3: Secure your slip or locker at the EYC.

Click here for the scoop and prices, and to get your locker or slip.  Do it asap before it is too late.  We are forecasting a spectacular sailing season, and well, yeah.

#4: Sign up for lessons.

Here’s the link. Research shows that kids who sail are healthier, happier, and spend less time on social media. (Well, I haven’t actually seen any research on that but it’s probably true, don’t you think?). And lessons are good for adults too. We have lessons for all levels, including adventure sailing camps, power boating, racing, private lessons, women’s classes, and more.  Sign up for lessons or camps and make that commitment to be on the water this summer!

#5: Made it through items #1 – #4?  There’s more!

Here’s the EYC summer calendar. Check it out and add events to your own calendar. Invite friends, and make plans. Let’s make it a great summer!
