Rich Hall Junior Regatta This Weekend!

Rich Hall Junior Regatta, Saturday and Sunday, July 18 & 19

The Rich Hall Junior Regatta is this weekend for racers ages 12-17. The regatta is open to all boats of the Laser Radial and Club 420 (School and College Version) classes. Competitors do not have to be an EYC member, but only EYC members are eligible to sail in EYC-owned boats. No EYC Skipper’s License is required to skipper an EYC-owned Laser Radial or 420, but competitors and parents are asked to use good judgment, taking into account age, maturity, skill level and expected wind velocity and weather, in deciding whether to race or to allow their children to race.

This is another great racing opportunity for our juniors. Find a crew, find a skipper and get ready to race for a trophy this coming weekend! There are trophies for the top five places, plus the highest placing all-girl crew.

The drawing for EYC members to skipper an EYC-owned boat will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 18. Skippers must be present in person to participate in the boat draw. For all other information related to the regatta, please see the Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions on the EYC’s website,
