Labor Day Weekend at the EYC
Here’s what’s happening at the EYC this Labor Day weekend:
All EYC members are invited and encouraged to help clean up and close the EYC on Saturday, September 1. We will meet at the EYC at 9:00 AM, and most projects should be finished by around noon. The EYC will provide a burger and hot dog lunch for those who help. BYO beverages. There are jobs for persons of all ages, abilities, and strengths. Please be there to help put away the EYC for the winter! Questions? Contact EYC House and Dock chairman Rich Bierman [email protected]
EYC boats of all sizes and types are welcome to raft up in Sister Bay to watch the Marina Fest fireworks on the evening of Saturday, September 1. The raft-up will begin around 5:00 PM for dinner. Bring your own food and beverage. Several boats will have grills for you to use. For more information, contact EYC Cruising Committee chair John Peterson 414-581-0792. Watch the EYC’s facebook page and Twitter feed for updates in the event of unfavorable weather.
The EYC needs eight strong volunteers to help with a one-hour project on the morning of Sunday, September 2. We will meet at Death’s Door Marine in Sister Bay at 9:00 AM to load the EYC’s vertical electric boat lift onto a trailer. We will then proceed to the EYC to unload the lift. The lift is heavy, so wear your work boots and gloves. EYC parents, this is a good excuse for you to get your teens out of bed early on Sunday morning. If you are able to help, RSVP to [email protected] or phone Jay Lott (414) 322-7880.
