Fyr Bal Activities at the EYC This Weekend

The EYC has a full calendar of fun activities planned for Fyr Bal weekend!

The EYC’s annual Fyr Bal Regatta in Flying Scots begins at 10:00 AM Saturday June 19.

The first annual “Men’s Fyr Bal Cookout” will begin at 6:00 PM Saturday.  All EYC members and their guests are invited (not just men).  Brats and burgers will be provided and grilled by the men.  Bring a side dish and beverage of choice.  Questions?  Contact event chairman Jack O’Rourke [email protected]

Ephraim’s Fyr Bal festival includes the traditional lighting of bonfires around the harbor at 8:30 PM, followed by fireworks.  The EYC’s bleachers on the EYC pier are a great place to watch both!  For a complete calendar of all Fyr Bal events, go to http://www.ephraim-doorcounty.com/events/fyrbal.htm

Don’t forget the EYC’s regular weekend racing schedule:  FJs and Lasers on Friday evening, Optimists on Saturday afternoon, FJs on Sunday afternoon.  Parents: encourage your kids to race — it’s the best way to get better at sailing faster!
