4th of July Fun!- Golf outing, Ice Cream Social, Family Regatta

EYC Golf Outing

The EYC golf outing was held on Wednesday, July 3rd with 20 participants.  In an epic battle, Mike Lisle, Jr, Andrew Lisle, Jason Potter, Mike Schellpfeffer won with a score of 4 under par settled by a putt off on the practice green. It was a great way to start the July 4th weekend. Thank you to Andrew Gifford for coordinating this event.

Ice Cream Social

Is it really July 4th if you don’t get some ice cream at the EYC? We loved seeing so many members on the dock Friday, July 4th. Thank you to those families who brought toppings to stock our ice cream sundae bar, to icecreamsource.com for the three flavors of Ice Cream Factory ice cream, and to our volunteers, ice cream scoopers Nancy Claypool, Leslie Smith, and Fabian Waleffe, and clean-up crew Jim Nagrant, Ty Little, Luke Kennedy, Andrew Gifford, Lisa Gifford, Marta Fonseca.  We want to give a big shout out ot he trio of Eliana Nagrant, Jane Kennedy and Melissa Little for coordinating the event.

Family Regatta

On Saturday, July 5th the EYC held their annual Family Regatta during our regular Flying Scot series.  The Family regatta had 6 boats in the fleet representing  the Knight, Hoyerman, Papenthien/Thérien, Dischner and Faugust/Ikeda families.   Saturday was a gorgeous day with perfect wind and the regatta had 4 races. The husband and wife team of  skipper Michael Faugust and crew, Jennifer Ikeda took 1st place, the Hoyerman family with skipper Eric Hoyerman and crew of Jodie and Olivia Hoyerman took 2nd place and the cousin team of skipper Teddy Papenthien and crew, Benji Thérien took 3rd place.
