The Youth Cruising program is new this year and in order to kick it off and get more kids enrolled we are providing a $50 discount to the first 10 sign-ups. Our Education team has put together a great curriculum including Charting, GPS, what to bring and some fun events to practice. Cruising is taught in the afternoons so if you are in ART you can still take Cruising.
Ask the Instructors about it or talk to Donna Scattergood, Ben Schallip or Isak Peterson. Don’t miss out on this opportunity, be one of the first to gain these skills!

Racing Clinics-
EYC Racing Clinics have been very successful this year. We have covered: starting, upwind sailing, laylines, and roll tacking. All adult and youth EYC sailors interested in racing or learning to race are invited to attend the remaining clinics.
The next racing clinic is on Thursday, July 26th at 4:00pm. This clinic will focus on mark roundings. The clinic will include a chalk-talk and discussion about mark rounding strategies and rules, as well as on the water drills. The clinic will conclude with the FJ Series and FS Fun Series races at 6:00pm.
Women’s Sailing-
All women are invited to come down to the club for EYC’s next Women’s Sailing event. The next sail is on Wednesday, July 25th during the Junior Activity from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. The sails are fun, causal, and no experience is needed. Cost is $10.
Also, women sailors are encouraged to sign up for the EYC Ladies Regatta on Wednesday, August 1st at 1:30pm. Both skippers and crews are needed for this fun event.
Additional Activities:
Tuesday, July 24th: Fred and Fuzzy’s Sail- Sail to Fred and Fuzzy’s for dinner and back; $25, does not include dinner.
Sunday, July 29th: Flying Scot Junior Regatta

There is a great deal of interest in the new Adult Group lesson program. However, one consistent comment is that two weeks is hard for adults to commit to.
Well, we listen and are now offering the Adult Group lessons in 1 week sessions starting next Monday July 16 at 1:30. They are offered in the afternoons from 1:30 to 4:30 Monday through Friday for the next 4 weeks. The weekly rate is $180. Call the club now and talk to Hugh or David to sign up!
