Here are the many things going on this week at the club and

plan ahead for August!

Men’s Night on the deck- Thursday, July 22nd

This week, we would like to kick off a weekly gathering for the men of the EYC.  On Thursday, July 22nd, Jack O’Rourke will host on his deck-10645 Meadow Lane, Sister Bay.  Come on down! There will be Shish Kabobs grilling and everybody chilling! BYOB

EYC Laser Regatta July 24th & 25th

The EYC Laser Regatta is  this weekend!  Come down to the dock Saturday afternoon and Sunday and watch over 30 racers from around the midwest duke it out,  in this summers biggest racing event so far!  
At this time there are no more club boats available for member use but anyone with a private boat can register at:

116th Ephraim Regatta -August 7th  & 8th

The Ephraim Regatta is fast approaching!  Be sure to register by Friday, July 30th to receive a discount on your registration.  You can register with this link:  EphraimRegattaRegistration

We are still looking for a few good volunteers to help run a smooth regatta.  If you are at all interested in helping in any of the following categories, please email [email protected].

  • Strong individual to help on mark set boat
  • Race committee member
  • Provide signal boat / drive signal boat for race committee.  Bathroom is preferred!

Ephraim Regatta Party -August 7th (formerly Bratfest)

Please join us from 6:00PM to 9:00PM at Maxwelton Braes Lodge (7680 WI-57, Baileys Harbor, WI 54202) for our Ephraim Regatta party!  This event is open to all racers, EYC members, and guests!  Adults are $20, Kids ages 6 – 11 are $10, and children under the age of 5 are free!  We will have brats, burgers, hot dogs, and corn on the cob along with beer and soda provided with your entry fee.  Cash bar will also be available.

We are also still looking for volunteers to help with the Ephraim Regatta party.

Women’s Regatta- August 2nd

The Women’s Regatta will be held on Monday, August 2nd.  Skippers meeting is at 5PM.  Please email [email protected] if you are interested in racing, need a skipper, or need a crew.

EYC Weekly Racing Series- Tuesdays (Optis/Lasers), Thursdays (Scots/Optis), Fridays (Lasers/420’s), Saturdays (Scots) and Sundays (420’s)

Parents, encourage your young sailer to race in the weekly  regattas. The weekly regattas are a great way to hone those new  sailing skills on the race course. For  the week night regattas, boat draw starts promptly at  5pm and on Saturdays boat draw is 9:oo a.m. and Sundays boat draw is at 12:00 p.m.

Questions? ask any EYC instructor! The weekly regattas are  open to all EYC sailors!  

Welcome Session D Sailors: July 19th – 30th  and Welcome Session D2 Sailors: July 26 – 30th 

Welcome Back Session D Sailors- We will see you back on the  dock to refine your new found sailing skills.  

Session D2 Sailors– It’s your time to shine! Come ready to sail.  

D1 Adventure Sailors, do you want to continue the fun?  Come on back for another session! We  have a new session of Adventure Sailing in D2 and spaces in  Session E.

Whether you are ready to advance to the next level or are working  hard through your existing sailing level, Session E offers  opportunities for everyone. There are a few available spots in the  Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Powerboat Skills, Adventure  Sailing and Adult Sailing Classes. Commodore’s Party – August 14th

Heads up Sailors and Crew…. You won’t want to miss the Commodore’s Party! It is the
last event on EYC’s calendar to say farewell to friends and enjoy the new venue at Hidden Acres Farm.

Ladies PotLuck wrap-up

A little rain did not deter the crew organizing the EYC Ladies PotLuck  from putting a fun event!!  A big thank you goes to Debbie Brightbill, Nancy Treleven and the extra helping hands that made the night so wonderful.
