Fyr Bal Pancake Breakfast Saturday June 17 – VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Don’t miss the EYC’s Fyr Bal Pancake Breakfast this Saturday, June 17, at the Ephraim Village Hall, from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Breakfast includes all-you-can-eat-and-drink buttermilk pancakes, Marchant’s breakfast sausage links, coffee and orange juice. This is a bargain at only $10 per person ($5 children age 10 and under). The Pancake Breakfast is a great way to start off your Fyr Bal weekend and to catch up with your friends as summer begins. All proceeds benefit the EYC. This event is open to everyone, so please invite your friends even if they are not EYC members!

We still need some volunteers to help run this event. It’s fun and your three hour shift will be done before you know it. Volunteers get a free breakfast. If you wish to volunteer please contact event chair Jay Lott  [email protected]

Saturday Fyr Bal Regatta

The fun starts at 9:00 with the boat draw and pre-race chalk talk by John Peterson followed by Flying Scott races at 10:00.

EYC Open House, Saturday 10-2

A great way to showcase the club to potential new members.

Fyr Bal family cookout Saturday at 6.

Bring something to grill.

Lessons Begin Monday, June 19-23

Session A is a one week session, with classes held in the mornings and staff training in the afternoons.  We will be offering Beginner, Adventure Sailing and Powerboat Skills.  If you have a new sailor that might not be sure about a two week class, Beginner could be a great option.  The beginning of summer is a great time for new adults or youth to learn or brush up on Powerboat Skills.  Adventure Sailing is a fun way for friends and relatives age 7-17 to enjoy sailing together on Eagle Harbor.

If you haven’t yet registered for classes, have a look at the class offerings at www.eyc.org/lessons.  There is something for everyone. Please do register as early as possible so that we can schedule the appropriate number of staff.  If you have registered, we are looking forward to seeing you on the dock!

And the hits keep coming:

  • Sunday: 420 races start with boat draw at noon, and races starting at 1:00 pm
  • Monday Flying Scot Races.  5 pm boat draw and 6 pm start.
  • Tues/Thursday Opti races have already started.  5 pm boat draw, 6 pm race start.
  • Tuesday Laser races are also underway.  5 pm boat draw, 6 pm start.
