Please note that Bridge  begins this week at EYC.  Monday, June 8th begins Open Play Bridge at 1:00.  Tuesday at 4:00 is Couples Bridge, and Thursday at 9:30 am is Bridge Lessons.  For questions of further info, please contact Suzanne Lisle at [email protected].

Racing begins at EYC  Saturday, June 13th.  Please see the website for full racing details.

Join us next weekend, June 13, for the EYC Flying Scot Fleet Tuning Clinic, featuring our own Ryan Malmgren, of MAD Sails. Note: you do not need to own a Flying Scot to benefit from this session – the session is open to all ages / levels of experience and you only need to be an EYC member to attend.

In addition to addressing tuning, Ryan and his wife, Stacey Rieu, are going to show some spinnaker tricks, weight placement, boat handling hints, etc.

The clinic is targeted for noon, but will begin as quickly as practicable after the boats are on the dock after the first FS race of the season. We have a number of confirmed boats racing (some as a warm-up for the Flying Scot NAC), so we hope for some good weather. During the races, Ryan and Stacey will be observing from their whaler, then will provide feedback on the water / during the clinic.

Given the timing / logistics, you are welcome to brown-bag your own lunch. If there are any volunteers who may be interested in collecting money and arranging a group lunch (for this or any other FS Fleet event), please contact Jennifer Ikeda.

Mark your calendar for other EYC Flying Scot events (note there was a typo in the Eagle’s Cry article):
June 20: Racing debrief following the Fyr Bal Regatta – Michael Faugust
June 27: Racing debrief following the Family Regatta – Jay Lott
July 11, 18, 25: Racing Rules Sessions I, II, III – Cain Goettleman, Jay Lott

If you have any questions concerning the Flying Scot racing, please contact Jennifer Ikeda.  Looking for crew, or a skipper, she will be happy to conect you.  [email protected].

Group Lessons begin the week of June 15th.  Please sign up online at EYC.org.  Please know you can schedule private lessons at anytime through [email protected].
