For the first time ever, the EYC will offer a Laser clinic. The clinic will be led by visiting instructor Bobby Collins, who also led the EYC’s 2013 Advanced 420 clinic. The clinic is open to adults and juniors ages 12 and up. To enroll, click here.
The clinic will focus on how to properly rig and sail Lasers and Laser Radials, including boathandling, tacking and jibing, sail trim, boat speed, and kinetics. The clinic will include approximately 12 hours of instruction over two days. The clinic price of $132 includes lunch and beverages both days, a textbook, and an instructional DVD. There is a $20 discount for those who bring their own Laser or Laser Radial.
The Laser clinic is limited to the first 15 persons to register. The clinic price includes free use of an EYC-owned Laser for the first ten EYC members to enroll who do not plan to bring their own boat.
Enrollment in the clinic is limited exclusively to EYC members until March 21. On March 21, enrollment will be opened to non-EYC-members.
EYC juniors enrolled in the EYC’s Session C sailing lessons at the Advanced or Racing level are particularly encouraged to enroll in the Laser clinic. The EYC has shortened the Session C Advanced and Racing sessions so that they end on July 9, specifically to enable those students to enroll in this clinic.
