It’s not too late to RSVP for the Aaron R. Moore Sailing Scholarship benefit dinner, Saturday, March 2 at the Lake Forest Club. All EYC members are invited — many of your EYC friends have already committed to attend!
This gala event is a great opportunity to catch up with EYC friends and make plans for next summer. The Lake Forest Club is a wonderful venue, is conveniently located for EYC members living in the Milwaukee and Chicago areas, and the food will be excellent. There will also be a silent auction with lots great items, including his-and-hers EYC sailing jackets, a Flying Scot jib, ice cream shipped to your doorstep, a week in one of several luxurious vacation homes, and many other items.
Tickets are $100 per person. Advance reservations are required. RSVP and pay online at http://paperless.ly/Uid2FT
All proceeds from the event go to the EYC’s Aaron R. Moore Sailing Scholarship Fund. Aaron passed away in 2008 and was a lifelong sailor and an enthusiastic sailing instructor. The Fund was established in 2012 by EYC members Rob and Sherry Moore (Aaron’s parents) and EYC members Barbara and Adam Moore (Aaron’s brother). The Fund pays for sailing lesson scholarships for junior sailors who are year-round residents of Door County and who otherwise would not be able to afford sailing lessons or EYC junior membership.
Even if you are not able to attend this event, please consider supporting the Aaron R. Moore Sailing Scholarship Fund, or the EYC in general, by donating at www.eyc.org/donate. The EYC is qualified as a public charity under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, so your donation is tax-deductible.
