Sign up Now for Adult Sailing Lessons

There is still time for adult EYC members to sign up for sailing lessons in 2012, but you need to act so0n!

The EYC offers a one-night-per-week adult beginner class beginning Thursday, July 26.  The class meets for three hours each Thursday evening, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, through August 16.  The enrollment deadline is noon July 25.

The EYC also offers adult beginner lessons in one-week sessions.  The classes meet Monday through Friday from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM.  A few openings still remain for the weeks beginning July 30, August 6 and August 13.

All classes are taught by experienced, expert EYC instructors who are graduates of US Sailing’s Level 1 Instructor Certification course.  The class atmosphere is low-pressure and social.  All classes are taught in the EYC’s simple, stable Flying Scot sailboats.

For more information about adult group sailing lessons at the EYC, and to enroll, go to www.eyc.org/lessons.

The EYC also offers private lessons for adults.  Private lessons might be for you if:

*  The normal schedule of group lessons does not fit your schedule; or

*  You want to learn at an accelerated pace; or

*  You want to take a lesson together with specific friends or family members; or

*  You feel more comfortable in a one-on-one situation with an instructor.

Private lessons are available to both adults and juniors.  Up to four persons can take a private lesson together.  The pace and content of private lessons are geared to the individual student.

Private lessons are available by appointment and are contingent on instructor availability.  To schedule a private lesson, contact EYC Director Alex Zalar director@eyc.org, or phone the EYC (920) 854-7107, or stop by the EYC on a weekday between 9 and 5.
