Ephraim Regatta Just 3 Weeks Away!

The 2012 Ephraim Regatta (August 3-4-5) also will be the Flying Scot Midwest District Championship!  For more information, to view the Notice of Race, and to register online, go to www.eyc.org/racing

Over forty Flying Scots are expected to compete.  All EYC members are encouraged to participate, as racers, volunteers, spectators, or partygoers, in the 107th consecutive Ephraim Regatta.

The EYC has a national reputation for running smooth, friendly regattas, but it takes a lot of volunteers for us to get it right!  We still need some volunteers to help on the race committee, on tow/safety boats, and on shore.  If you would like to help with the Ephraim Regatta, please contact Regatta chairman Bjorn Hooper [email protected].  Volunteering is fun and it’s a great way to get to know your fellow EYC members.

Even if you are unable to compete or to volunteer, at least come to the parties:

*  The Regatta Welcome Party on the evening of Friday, August 3, will be in the park across the street from the EYC, starting at 6:00 PM.  Admission (payable at the head of the food line or in advance with your regatta registration) will be $10/person.  Adults and children alike are invited.  The EYC will provide pulled pork BBQ sandwiches, side dishes and lemonade; BYO adult beverages.  All EYC members, their guests, and non-member regatta participants are invited. Please attend and welcome our regatta competitors!

*  As always, the social highlight of the Ephraim Regatta will be the Bratfest hosted by the Klein and Claypool families on the evening of Saturday, August 4.  All EYC members and guests are invited, no reservations necessary!  The Bratfest will begin at 6:00 PM. $12 adults, $6 children 11 and under (children 5 and under are free), payable at the door.  Famous grilled brats, grill-roasted sweet corn on the cob, beer and soft drinks, volleyball, music, and great company.  Location: 3282 Gibraltar Road, Fish Creek.
