Junior Regatta Update / Sign up now for Remaining Lesson Slots

A correction:  Competitors in the Rich Hall Junior Regatta on Sunday, July 18 must not have reached their 18th birthday.  A previous e-mail erroneously said competitors must not have reached their 17th birthday.

Lesson Enrollment is high.  Our friendly and dedicated instructors, together with good weather and eager students, have the EYC on track to set a recond number of student sessions taught.

Session D lessons (Monday July 26 through Friday August 6) are filling up fast and enrollment is limited.  Registration is online at www.eyc.org/lessons  Questions about lessons?  Stop by or call the EYC (414) 854-7107 and talk to EYC Director Alex Zalar, or any other EYC instructor.

Parents:  consider registering your child in the afternoon session instead of the morning session.  The EYC limits the number of enrolled students in order to maintain an optimum student/instructor ratio.  The afternoon session always has fewer students enrolled.  Your child has a much better chance of a lower student-teacher ratio in  the afternoon.  Some afternoon students in earlier sessions received what amounted to a two-week private lesson!

Parents: remember that Yacht Works in Sister Bay offers a discount to EYC members purchasing lesson gear (life vests, close toed boat shoes, glasses keepers, gloves, etc.)

Help name the EYC’s Lasers.  Bid to name a Laser after a beloved family member, dear departed one, or choose some more whimsical name: www.eyc.org/2010/07/help-name-the-eycs-lasers
