Clubhouse Cleanout a Big Success!

Thanks to over forty EYC members who took time during the Saturday of their Memorial Day weekend, to clean out the EYC’s clubhouse and to prepare the club and pier for summer!  This gratifying turnout proved the adage “many hands makes light work”.

A special thank you to a few members who stayed most of the day installing the heavy hanging pier platforms:  Dock Chairman George Kramer, Kim Miller, John Wood, Bruce Sturgis, Peter Moegenberg, Steve Sauter and John Peterson.

Special thanks also to staff Woody Heidler, Matt Smith and Peter Moegenberg who worked all day helping with the piers, rigging boats, providing expertise, and cleaning up odds and ends.

Also special thanks to Kinnard Heating and Cooling of Green Bay and Sturgeon Bay for the use of a large trailer for the week to store the EYC’s gear, while the clubhouse floor is being sealed.

And finally, big kudos to Rich Bierman.  As the EYC Clubhouse Chairman he organized this event and provided the food for the first cookout of the summer.   Our new clubhouse will stay in great shape and continue to improve as long as the EYC has dedicated volunteers like Rich and everyone else who helped.
